Quin (RM 95)
Queen emerges fast, canopies quickly and sets down deep roots. She is well-suited to lower planting populations. You spoke, and we listened! Quin is the replacement for Queen. Quin has all of the qualities you love about Queen (tough, flex ears, big roots, yield) but with faster drydown. The tradeoff for the drydown is a little less plant health and slightly narrower leaves. Quin handles high-stress fields as well as highly productive fields. Works on heavy and wet soils and medium to lighter soil types. Planting populations can range from 14,000 to 32,000 ppa depending on normal populations for area, row spacing, moisture, and fertility. Pollinates early with a long grainfill period. Not suitable for late planting. Can set 2 ears at lower pops. Solid dual-purpose hybrid if chopping silage. A good option for regenerative farming.
Pairs well with Madeline (RM 95), Kit (RM 99), Hilda (RM 100), and Maria (RM 101).
